Dissolved oxygen (DO) is the oxygen held in water, read in ppm (mg/L) or as % saturation. Hintron monitors read it continuously, with temperature compensation and alarms for the limits you set.
Set the zero in an oxygen-free solution and the span in air-saturated water.
The DO probe gives a signal proportional to the oxygen that passes through its membrane.
The reading is corrected for water temperature, which changes how much oxygen water can hold.
ppm (mg/L) is the amount of oxygen in the water. % saturation compares it with the most that water can hold at that temperature and pressure. The monitor shows either; choose the unit from the keys.
Cold water holds more oxygen than warm water, and the probe itself responds to temperature. The monitor reads a temperature probe and corrects the DO reading automatically.
Yes. The Hintron HTN-MU003 online monitor shows DO live alongside pH, temperature and conductivity, with high and low set points and a built-in buzzer for each parameter.
Describe the sample, the point you want to monitor and the quantity. A specialist replies with a recommendation and a quotation.
