Benchtop microprocessor meter that reads pH, mV (ORP) and temperature, showing temperature together with pH or mV on a 16 × 2 backlit LCD. pH calibration is 2-point or 3-point: automatic with pH 4.00, 7.00 and 9.20 buffers, which the meter recognises on its own, or manual with any two buffers from 0 to 14 pH. Temperature compensation is automatic with the Pt-100 probe or set by keys. Stores 1000 readings with date and time and prints them, all at once or by date, to a printer or computer through RS-232 or a parallel port. Supplied with a combination pH electrode, Pt-100 probe, pH 4.00, 7.00 and 9.20 buffer tablets, electrode holder and RS-232 cable. 230 V AC.

Product Details
The Hintron microprocessor pH, mV and temperature meter is a benchtop instrument for laboratories that need pH and ORP readings with a record of when each one was taken. The 16 × 2 backlit display shows temperature alongside pH or mV, and 1000 readings can be stored with date and time and printed or sent to a computer.
Measurement
- pH: 0 to 14.00 pH, resolution 0.01 pH, accuracy ±0.01 pH (relative)
- mV (ORP): 0 to +1999 mV, resolution 1 mV, accuracy ±1 mV
- Temperature: −20.0 to +200.0 °C with the Pt-100 probe, resolution 0.1 °C, accuracy ±0.2 %
- Temperature compensation of pH: automatic with the probe, or set by keys, 0 to 100 °C
- Slope correction: 80 % to 120 % (100 % by default)
pH calibration
- 2-point or 3-point
- Automatic: the meter recognises the standard buffers pH 4.00, 7.00 and 9.20 and shows the buffer it has detected; the 3-point calibration uses all three
- Manual (2-point): any two buffers from 0 to 14 pH, by adjusting the displayed value
- A calibration can be cleared and repeated at any time; the meter shows CAL ERROR if the same buffer is used twice
mV (ORP) calibration
- Manual, at two points
- Zero: 0 mV with the ORP input terminals connected together
- Span: quinhydrone in fresh pH 4.00 buffer, 268 mV at 20 °C, 263 mV at 25 °C, 258 mV at 30 °C
- The ORP electrode is not supplied
Temperature calibration
- Calibrated before dispatch; normally no temperature calibration is needed
- If required: 2-point (low and high) against a temperature calibrator, the two points more than 20 °C apart
- When the probe is not connected, a manual temperature can be set by keys
Memory and printing
- Up to 1000 readings stored with date and time from the real-time clock (24-hour, with date)
- Readings recalled on the display one by one, or cleared from the menu
- Prints all stored readings, or the readings of a chosen date
- Serial printer or computer through RS-232: 1200 to 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit
- Parallel printer through the 25-pin Centronics port
General
