Autoclave, Vertical, Double Walled, Fully Automatic, 22 to 180 L

A fully automatic double walled vertical autoclave that sterilizes media, glassware and instruments with steam at up to 20 psi. The inner boiler is 18 SWG SS 304, air insulated from the outer shell, and every unit is hydraulically tested to 40 psi.

Choose in three steps: the size (22 to 180 L), the build, and the controller. Classic is SS 304 inside and SS 202 outside, with black powder coated mild steel legs and radial lock ring. Prime is all SS 304, legs and ring included.

How the cycle runs

1. Heat up: air is let out of the chamber.
2. Sterilize: the timer runs at the set temperature.
3. Cool down: a buzzer sounds, the heater stops and the pressure falls.

All three controllers run this cycle by themselves. The timer starts only at the set temperature, so every load gets its full time. The cycle stops if the water runs low or the temperature goes too high, and the pressure control switch cuts the heater if the pressure rises too high.

Why upgrade?

• Graphic LCD: see the whole cycle at a glance. The F0 value adds up the sterilizing effect of every minute above 100 °C, heat up and cool down included, so you can see how much each load received.
• Recording: every batch is recorded and reported on a PC with software built for 21 CFR compliance, which supports audits and validation. Four sensors check the load itself, not just the chamber.

What is the F0 value?

• What: the sterilizing effect of a cycle, counted in minutes at 121 °C.
• How: the controller reads the chamber temperature all through the cycle. A minute at 121 °C counts as 1, at 111 °C as 0.1, at 131 °C as 10. It adds them up, heat up and cool down included.
• Why: the same timer setting can give a big or slow-heating load less sterilizing than a small one. F0 shows what each load actually got.
• Reading it: F0 15 means the same effect as 15 minutes at 121 °C. If a load ends below the F0 your method needs, run it again or check the load.

Please note: F0 shows how much sterilizing a load received, not whether it is sterile. Only biological indicators placed in the load can confirm that.
